SHELTER HOME MANAGER
TAPISH Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of "Mera Kunba" – a Trans & Queer Shelter Home in Indore. The ideal candidate will be passionate about human rights, social justice, and community empowerment, with the ability to create a safe, inclusive, and affirming environment for transgender and queer persons.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the overall operations of the Trans & Queer Shelter Home.
- Supervise and mentor the project team while ensuring quality service delivery.
- Plan, implement, monitor, and report project activities and donor commitments.
- Coordinate with government departments, donors, hospitals, and community partners.
- Lead advocacy initiatives and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
- Manage crisis response, emergency shelter support, and resident case management.
- Oversee budgets, procurement, logistics, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, trauma-informed, and rights-based environment for all residents.
Eligibility
- Bachelor's/Master's in Social Work, Management, or related field
- 3 years of project management experience
- Experience with LGBTQIA+ or marginalized communities preferred
- Strong leadership, communication & reporting skills
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office, Email, Google Workspace)
- Strong leadership, coordination, documentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a team and work with diverse stakeholders.

TAPISH Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shelter Home In-Charge to oversee the day-to-day management of “Mera Kunba” – a Trans & Queer Shelter Home in Indore. The ideal candidate will be committed to human rights, social justice, and community empowerment, with the ability to maintain a safe, inclusive, supportive, and affirming environment for transgender and queer persons.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Mera Kunba Shelter Home.
- Reside at the shelter and ensure residents’ safety, well-being, and basic needs.
- Manage resident intake, records, daily routines, and basic case support.
- Coordinate government departments, and other service providers when required.
- Ensure cleanliness, food, supplies, and proper maintenance of the shelter.
- Handle emergencies and resolve day-to-day concerns of residents.
- Maintain basic shelter documentation and provide regular updates to the TAPISH team.
- Ensure compliance with TAPISH policies and safeguarding guidelines.
Eligibility
- Candidate must belong to the LGBTQIA+ community.
- Minimum 12th Pass; candidates with relevant experience or qualifications are welcome.
- Freshers can also apply.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, Email, and Google Workspace.
- Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

PROJECT COORDINATOR
TAPISH Foundation is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Project Coordinator to coordinate its Mental Health Program for LGBTQIA+ communities in Indore. The ideal candidate will be committed to mental health, human rights, social justice, and community empowerment, with the ability to coordinate inclusive and accessible mental health support for LGBTQIA+ persons.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead planning, implementation, and monitoring of the MHI project.
- Coordinate daily functioning of the Drop-in Centre and Queer-Trans Library.
- Design and execute advocacy strategies focused on trans and queer rights, mental health entitlements, and inclusive health systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders – government officials, mental health professionals, queer collectives, and civil society actors.
- Facilitate support circles, workshops, and public education campaigns on mental health.
- Document project activities, case studies, and impact reports using GSuite/MS Office tools.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and communication materials for internal and external sharing.
- Support training, and supervision of project staff and interns.
- Ensure a safe, affirming, and inclusive environment for all trans and queer community members accessing services.
Eligibility
- LGBTQIA+ candidates will be given first preference; others may also apply.
- Bachelor's/Master's in Social Work, Management, or related field.
- 2 years of project management experience
- Basic knowledge of MS Office, MS Excel, Email, and Google Workspace.
